Welcome Message
Welcome to Quantum Innovation 2026
The International Symposium on Quantum Science, Technology and Innovation 2026 (Quantum Innovation 2026) is organized by research institutes and universities of the Quantum Technology Innovation Hubs (QIH https://qih.riken.jp/en/) and is supported by the Government of Japan, the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST), and corporate sponsors.
Quantum Innovation covers a broad range of topics in quantum science and technology, including quantum computing, quantum sensing, quantum cryptography, and quantum communication. The symposium serves as an international platform bringing together researchers, industry leaders, policymakers, and students to discuss the latest scientific achievements, technological advances, industrial opportunities, and future directions of quantum innovation.
Since its launch, Quantum Innovation has been held annually in Tokyo from 2021 to 2024 and in Osaka in 2025. In 2026, the symposium will be held in Nagoya. The 2026 program will span four days, adding a one-day Moonshot session focusing on fault-tolerant quantum computing.
As quantum technologies continue to transform science, industry, and society, international collaboration and close partnerships among academia, industry, and government are becoming increasingly important. Quantum Innovation 2026 aims to provide inspiring forums for fruitful discussions, new collaborations, and shared visions for the future of quantum science and technology.
